Hey there, I’m Rusty.

I work as a Network Specialist at a small cooperative ISP, where the scale may be local, but the tasks are anything but. From core routing and virtual machines to obscure IT puzzles and complex customer challenges, I dive into whatever lands on the desk. I’ve earned certifications like CCNA and Cisco Security Specialist, and I’m steadily working toward the elusive CCIE—that badge of deep networking expertise that’s part challenge, part obsession.

Outside of work, I’m fueled by hands-on exploration. Whether it’s restoring a 1922 Dodge Brothers car, digitizing old media, refining retro tech setups, or getting lost in a video game that eats my weekend, I’m always chasing projects that blend curiosity, creativity, and craftsmanship.

I live with two cats—Olive (gray – the quiet schemer) and Ratchet (orange – the unapologetic chaos engine). They generously allow me workspace access when they’re not sprawled directly in it.

This site is my personal archive of experiments, fixes, restorations, and reflections. It’s part tech journal, part project log, and always a work in progress.
